Kuikahi Village

100% Workforce Housing

 

The Kuikahi Village 100% Workforce Housing Neighborhood is an Infill, Multi-use Design

Inspired by Maui’s neighborhoods such at Paia, Lahaina, Makawao, and Wailuku, the look, feel, and comfort of this community is traditional Hawaii.

Kuikahi Village will draw upon the principles of smart growth and new urbanism, while also paying close attention to the cultural and environmental needs of the area.

Multifamily Condos, Duplexes, Tiny Homes, Single Family Residences and Live Work homes will all be incorporated into this community.  Through this wide variety of homes we aim to serve as many segments of Maui’s workforce community as possible.

Expected Timeline

We appreciate your interest in the new Kuikahi Village 100% owner-occupied neighborhood.  Thank you for your patience as we work towards building homes for our local Maui families here in Wailuku.

As you all are aware, development of affordable housing here on Maui is a difficult task and building projects often run into unforeseen hurdles.  The recent disasters highlight this even more.

Over the past months we have experienced interest rate hikes, supply chain delays, material shortages, workforce price changes, and qualification changes to the workforce housing process are just a few of the obstacles Kuikahi Village is currently navigating. 

As a result of these challenges, we are sad to announce that the timing of the Kuikahi Village neighborhood has been delayed. 

However, we are working with the new Mayor, new Council leadership and new Governor to resolve some of the impediments to building affordable housing and we are hopeful to be back on track very shortly.

While we are reluctant to publish a set timeline, we are aiming to break ground in the next 6 months and start taking lottery applications before the New Year.
